THE MORNING OF 911...
It was a tuesday..i was off from work...getting some extra sleep...when suddenly the phone rang...i was sleeping so good..didn't wanna move out that bed to get up...but i felt something was wrong...because it kept ringing like there was something we had to know...so i answered...being..this was the house phone for anyone to use...when i answered...it was a friend of my son Russell...Allison..she was so excited...her voice sounded like something was wrong...she ask...did i hear from my son...i replied...Allison...what's wrong..she repeats...has russell called...no..i said..then she asked ...did i have my tv on...and i said...yes..but as she was trying to tell me why she called..i replied ..hold on ALLISON...there's something wrong where Russell works..she replied..that's what i called about...then i said to her..what were you trying to tell me girl..is my son in there...Allison..WHAT HAPPEN..TERRORIST FLEW A PLANE...HYJACKED IT TOOK CONTROL...
FLEW RIGHT IN2 THE WORLD TRADE...my heart dropped to my feet..i stared at the tv..my whole body...mind and soul got empty...i was in denial..didn't wanna believe my son was still in the bldg..where...he work as a customer service rep for ..at that time...10 years..worked on the 64th floor...where i used to visit him on my days off..go to lunch ...shop in their mall downstairs...so..as the other family members started calling...it hitme..i started yelling...crying where i ran upstais to let my mom know and my Brother..where they already knew..
my first born child...a blessing...
always was a scholar..a gifted student in first grade.."astre" is what they called the program for kids who have an high EYEQ..was a very bright child early in his life..which took off all through his growth...now bac 2 911...he wasn't responding on the phone...the airwaves were affected..phones were down..everyone was calling my house ..except Russell..i started panicking more..Gary..his best friend and our neighbor in bac of us ..who grew up with him was at the time dating my daughter..where they came downstairs to my room to sit with me for support..GARY's father worked 2 blocks away from the world trade...he 2 was scared something had happen with his father..so all of us were devastated to say the least..my mom asked that we get on our knees..she'gonna pray for word from Russ..everybody kept ringing da phone..coming to the house..asking about him..when the phone rang..the line upstairs connects down so my mom answered with me on the line down..where..finally it's Russell..i screamed..said everybody ..it's Russell..all of us got a sigh of relief..that gave us a reason to stay close and love one another more...without hesitation..be thankful..God saved my son..my prayers and my mom's is what helped..but sorry to say...one of his co-worker Lisa died..i met her..just three weeks b4 this happen ..we celebrated my birthday together..at my son's office..with his other co-workers..
when it was time for him to leave worked..he took me up to the 105 floor..the windows of da world ..where our radio personalities were there to wish me happy birthday..Dr Boblee..WBLS if u go 2 blackplanet..theres a picture of me with Dr.Bob lee and my grand daughter tatie and myself celebrate christmas...when i look bac on 911...my son did go through a trauma period..but i was a bundle of nerves...I had a mild stroke 2 yrs ago..but thank God..i recovered quick..no one would ever know this took a toll on me..but we both...for da grace of GOD ...BOUNCED BACK!!!!..THANK U Jesus..thank you...now he's an actor..the Lord has something in store for all of us..just...BELIEVE
